The completion of the solar-battery micro-grid in Paluan, Occidental Mindoro last March 11, 2018 by Solar Philippines grants Palueños a ‘brownout-free’ town. The largest of its kind in Southeast Asia, this project marks the launch of ‘Solar Para sa Bayan,’ an initiative spearheaded by Solar Philippines’ founder Leandro Leviste, to provide a more stable source of electricity at low-cost to underserved areas in the country.
The panels used in this project came from the Solar Philippines Module Manufacturing Corp. factory in the First Philippine Industrial Park, which were transported by Ximex Delivery Express, Inc. (XDE Logistics), the accredited third-party logistics provider of Solar Philippines. With XDE Logistics’ fleet of ten-wheeler and forty-footer trucks, these solar panels were efficiently transferred from Sto. Tomas, Batangas to Paluan, Occidental Mindoro.
XDE Logistics is proud and honored to be part of the first step in making a brighter Philippines one town at a time.
