How much does a new website cost?

Website Design costs are not a one-size-fits-all answer. The cost to build a website is dependent on several factors including the size of the site (how many pages and the type/volume of content), functionalities (forms, payment features, integrations) and the ‘logistics’ for deploying the site (ie: domain setup, email migration, online profile creations, etc.). We develop custom websites specifically tailored to your business’ goals and needs, ideally integrating with your existing business infrastructure for payment processing, appointment scheduling and email automations. We’ll ask a lot of questions, assess your needs, and give you a quote based on that assessment. Most of our sites run in the $2,500 – $6,500 range, but can be more or less depending on needs, functions, integrations and the platform.

How long will it take to get a new website?

On average, we shoot for a three week turnaround on the initial concept review. From there, the website’s launch date is dependent on your availability with feedback and how soon the content is ready as well as reviews from 3rd parties (ie: if the client has requested a legal review from their council). The functionality needs may also play a role – more complex sites will take more time to develop.

Will I be able to update the site myself when it’s finished?

That’s the goal! We prefer to build sites that clients can manage themselves… it’s your site… you should be able to add staff member or update service offerings and pricing. That being said, the more complex a website the more tech-savvy the site’s manager must be. We’ll ask a lot of questions at the project start to flush out as many pain-points in this area as possible, creating the right website solution for you!

Will my website be mobile-friendly?

Absolutely! Your website will be optimized for current desktop and mobile platforms. It’s important that your website look good on a variety of devices and we work hard to ensure it does!

When and how do I pay?

Typically projects are billed in a split with the bulk of the project’s estimated cost being due upfront (70-80%) and the balance + any additional fees (stock photos, third party subscriptions, website add-ons) billable 45 days from when the project begins or prior to the website going live (whichever comes first). Invoices are sent from Intuit QuickBooks® and contain links for online payments (CC or DBT).

Domain, hosting, email services… OH MY!

We’re a strong believer in separation of church-and-state… meaning that we don’t believe your website should be hosted by the same company that serves as your domain registrar. EX: SiteGround might be your website host and goaddady.com might be your domain registrar and provide email services. There are a lot of factors that go in to picking the right (best) domain and hosting providers for your project and we’l give you our recommendations on this during the Discovery Process.

Do you provide pro-bono or discounted rates?

Yes, we do! We offer discounted rates for pre-paid bulk hour of up to $20 less/hour, 5% discounts to registered non-profits and tiered payment plans available for start-ups and solopreneurs.
